Q; Do I have a family Tartan?
A; Not every surname has a family or clan tartan, although you might have a district or military tartan. To see if you have a tartan go to the "Links" page and explore and find your tartan! There are generic tartans that anyone can use. i.e. Scotiish National Tartan
Q; Do I have to know how to crochet?
A; Yes, but there are only two stitches to learn and instructions are included with the patterns that can be ordered online.
Q; How long do they take to make?
A; If you were making it from the patterns, it is up to you. If it is ordered it will take between 8 to 10 weeks depending on when the order is received.
Q; Is the weaving hard?
A; The weaving is time consuming, but once you start the process it is not difficult.
Q; What is the cost from start to finish if I do it myself?
A; It will depend on the tartan and the wool that you choose to work with.
Q; Will family and friends love them?
A; Yes, because it comes from the heart and is a personal sentimental gift that everyone can enjoy for years to come.
